How did we get here?
I had a strong, wonderful reaction when I heard Walter Martin’s beautiful 2020 song “The Solider.” I loved how the story unfolded slowly & simply. I loved how it was a first person story, but Walter Martin is actually an accessory to the song, not the main character. It sent my head spinning. I want many more stories like this.

FAQ
Should I make up a really amazing story to help my chances of getting noticed?
No. Have you been paying attention? We are celebrating the idea that your story is the amazing story. Simple stories are amazing. Improbable stories are amazing too. The only story that would suck is one that is not you or someone you love.
Who is going to make my story into a song?
I don’t know. It might be me. I’m an okay musician. I hope someday lots of different musicians might like the idea of participating in this activity and becoming adjunct members of the Commonly Miraculous Team. But who knows. If you are only doing this because you expect Celine Dion to sing a song about your story, you are probably in the wrong place.
How much mandolin will be involved?
As much as possible. It’s a miraculous instrument. Don’t you think?
Where can I hear other Commonly Miraculous songs?
We’ll have a page for that, but right now we are building some content so the page isn’t just me clapping into a camera and humming (note: if you want that, please drop a note in the Submit Zone above!). Or you’ll be able to go to a popular video hosting site that’s owned by a massive search engine.
Can I buy this music somewhere?
Not yet. If you want to throw some of your hard earned cash towards this endeavor, either buy something from Walter Martin or donate some money to help sick children.
You keep asking me to buy stuff from Walter Martin. Are you Walter Martin?
I am not Walter Martin. I am so thankful that he is supportive of this idea. I want him to be rewarded for writing a beautiful song, and encouraging more beautiful songs about (extra)ordinary humans. It’s hard to be a musician right now and they all need our support.
